Good things are happening at Morgantown First UMC. There is a loving spirit of optimism and faith. From the human perspective, everything in the life of the church begins with attendance. Our attendance is a way of saying that we are serious about our soul’s salvation.
Each Sunday worship service is a great time of sharing and singing our way into God’s holy presence. We have wonderful well-planned services that lift up Jesus. This coming Sunday is the fourth Sunday in Lent. This is a special time for reflection and renewal. It is time to seek the Lord. His second coming may be soon.
Let us join our hearts in holy wonder as we ‘’worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.” If you have not attended lately, come and meet the new pastor. As a pastor of more than 65 years, I always enjoy meeting new people. This is a great church and you will enjoy the service. God will be present to meet our needs. See you Sunday at 11 a.m.
Sincerely in Him,
Jim Mathews, Pastor

He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
(Luke 10:27)
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
